What is Delta Sigma Pi?

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed, professional business fraternity. It was founded in 1907, and the brothers of Delta Sigma Pi have been enjoying the bond of brotherhood through business for over 100 years. Delta Sigma Pi has promoted personal and professional development here at the University of Dayton since 1963.

Professionalism

Brothers of Delta Sigma Pi participate in a variety of activities to encourage professional development. Brothers and pledges of Delta Sigma Pi have opportunities to have their resume critiqued, gain valuable interview techniques and experience, and have the chance to give presentations while in professional business dress. Delta Sigma Pi has also put on golf and dinner etiquette nights. Delta Sigma Pi offers great out of the classroom experience that can give you the edge not only with your studies, but also in the real world and workplace.

Professional speakers are a great way to learn about professionalism in the workforce. They offer insight, motivation, tips, and can even provide a networking opportunity for future employment. In the past few years, we have had speakers from:

  • GE
  • Nike
  • Standard Register
  • Proctor & Gamble
  • Skyline Chli

Delta Sigma Pi also offers the chance to leave campus and see a business in action. Brothers have visited:

  • The Schuster Center
  • Tour of operations at Dayton Bombers Center
  • St. Loius
  • Chicago
  • Louisville
  • Cincinatti

A few facts:

  • 76% of Who’s Who in America are Greek
  • Of the nation’s 50 largest corporations, 43 are headed by Greeks
  • All but two Presidents since 1825 have been Greek

Community Service

Delta Sigma Pi also knows how important it is to give back to the community. It is a big part of the business world, and the brothers agree it is essential for our organization.
